Style. Class. Refinement. Are They Back?
By JENNY SMITH MATTFELDT Published February 11, 2025

Audrey Hepburn is an icon, let’s start there. From her timeless style to her Hollywood legacy and effortless elegance, she’s been emulated for decades. But if you’ve noticed a few familiar influences in today’s stars, you’re not wrong.
I think it comes down to two things. First, fashion is cyclical, and we’re watching the pendulum swing in real time. The era of Yeezys, $400 distressed sweaters, and barely-there outfits is fading, making way for the return of “old money” style: polished, refined, and classic. And who better to use for inspiration than Hepburn? Second, there’s buzz about a new biopic in the works, and I wouldn’t be surprised if certain stars are subtly shaping their style to prove they can channel her European charm and signature grace. It’s like an unspoken audition, who can best capture Audrey’s quiet power and timeless appeal?
Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande is where my suspicions about the biopic started. With her venture into more acting with Wicked, and her new style, it’s not a stretch to think she might be gravitating toward playing Audrey Hepburn in a film.
She has the petite frame, and lately, her image shift has been hard to ignore. Gone are the oversized sweatshirts and sky-high ponytails, she’s leaning into a more refined, vintage-inspired aesthetic that mirrors Hepburn’s elegance. Whether it’s intentional or not, the resemblance is there, and if a casting call is on the horizon, she might just be positioning herself as the perfect fit.
Paige Desorbo
Paige DeSorbo is a reality TV star and co-host of one of the funniest podcasts out there, Giggly Squad. While she’s probably not vying for a role in an Audrey Hepburn biopic, her resemblance and style similarities to the icon are undeniable.
Like Hepburn, DeSorbo is petite, giving her that same delicate-yet-striking presence. She also balances elegance with a sharp, sassy edge, raceful but never boring. If you’re looking for inspiration on how to channel Hepburn’s timeless style in a modern way, DeSorbo is your girl.
Lily Collins
Lily Collins has been drawing Audrey Hepburn comparisons for years, and for good reason. Her delicate features, classic beauty, and effortlessly chic style make her a natural fit.
Her most recent season of Emily in Paris practically doubled as an homage to Hepburn, featuring multiple recreations of the icon’s most memorable looks, including that stunning fur ski ensemble. If there’s a Hepburn biopic in the works, I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Collins in the lead role. She’s already halfway there.
Ivanka Trump
It’s not just about trying to look like Hepburn, so many stars are naturally channeling her style right now. Case in point: Ivanka Trump’s custom recreation Givenchy gown at the 2025 Presidential Inauguration. This dress is a work of art, and it’s incredible to see modern fashion paying homage to Hepburn with such refined, timeless designs.
