It's no secret that I'm a fan of Eminence Organics skin care and out of their lineup there are a couple masks that have me in a chokehold. I've mentioned the Eight Greens Phyto Hot mask previously, the other is their Turmeric Energizing Treatment with warming powder and citrine gemstones. I've been leaning back into this mask lately because turmeric has a lightening and brightening effect on the skin which is exactly what I need to work on these acne scars.

Although it's a newer ingredient in the Western world turmeric has been a rockstar ingredient for thousands of years. In India it has been a staple in beauty rituals, particularly in Ayurvedic medicine, for over 4,000 years. Traditionally, turmeric was applied as a paste to enhance skin radiance, reduce inflammation, and treat various skin conditions. Its bright yellow color and powerful antioxidant properties have made it a timeless ingredient in natural skincare routines for generations.

This has got to be one of the most unique products I've found. It comes as a powder, you mix in a little water and it whips up into a mousse. I like to apply it with a brush and leave it on for about a half hour. Immediately when you put it on it starts to heat up and stays pretty spicy for 20 minutes or so. It dries into a gritty texture which means it exfoliates while you're washing it off leaving your skin so, so soft. (also how cute is the hair clip in the video? careymeawaydesigns.com) My only caution if you haven't worked with turmeric before careful what it touches. Learn from my mistakes, if it drips on your white sink clean it immediately and do not let it near your white towels.

I'm obsessed with it already for the plumping and brightening effects but I'm going to use it consistently for a few weeks so we can really see the effects on the scars. As always have a fabulous weekend and please reach out if you have any questions, comments, or want to say hello. I would love to hear from you!

Love you, see you, bye
