I have mixed feelings about AI, but one thing I can say for certain is that it can provide some of the most insightful mindset prompts you've ever heard. When you ask the right questions, it can help you uncover deep, thought-provoking insights that help you understand why you think and experience the world in the way you do. This tool is incredibly valuable for identifying subconscious beliefs that might be holding you back. Subconscious limiting beliefs are core beliefs formed in childhood or through experiences you may not consciously remember, yet they shape how you think and react to the world today. These limiting beliefs tend to keep you stuck or prevent you from reaching your full potential. Try asking ChatGPT the following question to uncover what deep-rooted beliefs might be blocking you from achieving your goals and living your dream life:

Ask me 10 questions that will uncover any deep rooted, subconscious limiting beliefs I might have.

For context when I did this exercise it asked me things like:

  • What’s one thing you’ve always wanted but never seriously pursued? Why haven’t you?

  • What’s a pattern that keeps repeating in your life that frustrates you?

  • What’s the worst thing that could happen if you fully stepped into your highest potential?

  • When you imagine your dream life, is there a part of you that feels like you don’t deserve it? Why?

  • What’s a belief you picked up from childhood that still affects how you see yourself today?

Reply to the message and answer each question as honestly as possible. It will then offer up or define core beliefs and fears that you may be experiencing. This is an easy way to put a name to the 'monsters under the bed' in your subconscious. Next, you'll ask:

Taking all of this into account give me five things I could do to improve my life this week and help combat those limiting beliefs.

It will then give you five habits and exercises you can do throughout the week to directly work on those limiting beliefs you uncovered. It's important to remember you don't have to believe every single thought you have, sometimes they're just old programming that might be beneficial for where you are currently. Just because your mind came up with that belief so many years ago does not mean you have to keep believing it.

Lastly if you use EFT tapping to work on your subconscious belief system (which we all should be) you can use the prompt below to create your very own, personalized EFT template:

*Bonus Prompt: Could you create an EFT tapping template for me this week, similar to the ones Brad Yates leads, but specifically tailored to addressing these beliefs?

Each thought we have is an electrical pulse so you can think of your thought pattern as a road that the electrical pulse has travelled down many times. The more times you have this thought the deeper that road becomes. Our brains are wired to take the path of least resistance so it wants to take this deep, predictable road as often as possible. EFT is so incredibled because it allows us to go in and erase that old road and lay the groundwork for a new, healthier road (the new thought we would rather believe).

A trick I've found helpful is to use a pattern interupt inbetween sessions of tapping. This means after you go through the entire template immediately switch to something like funny dogs on YouTube (a personal favorite 😉) to interupt those thought patterns. Pattern interupts are important when rewiring the subconscious because:

  1. Disrupts Emotional Momentum: When you’re processing deep emotions or limiting beliefs during EFT, you might feel a lot of intensity or resistance. A pattern interrupt—like a quick physical movement (e.g., standing up, shaking it out, or taking a deep breath)—helps to break up that emotional intensity and reset your nervous system. It prevents you from getting stuck in the negative emotions or thought loops.

  2. Rewires the Brain: Repeating old emotional responses or thought patterns can reinforce them. By using an interruption, you create space for new ways of thinking and feeling to emerge. It shifts your brain’s habitual pathways and opens up room for fresh beliefs.

  3. Increases Focus and Presence: They help ground you in the present moment. After an intense EFT session, your mind can sometimes feel scattered or exhausted. A quick reset can help bring you back to the here and now, making you more aware of the changes you’re experiencing and giving you clarity on what you need to focus on next.

  4. Deepens Integration: After tapping, it’s important to give yourself time to integrate the changes. These interrupts can serve as a reminder to take breaks, stay mindful, and allow your body and mind to adjust to the new beliefs or shifts that have been created.

  5. Keeps You Out of Overwhelm: As you uncover deep-rooted beliefs, there’s a risk of feeling overwhelmed by the emotional or mental process. Pattern interrupts help you avoid emotional overload by giving your system a moment of relief before diving back into the work, helping you stay balanced and calm.
